November 2014 Concert

Hope, Faith, Life, Love

The first concert of our 27th season will feature guest ensemble Kokoro Chamber Choir as we explore the themes of hope, faith, life, and love. In addition to Eric Whitacre’s 8-voice setting of the e. e. cummings poem, the choir will also present a variety of choral works, including works by Vivaldi and Handel, Mendelssohn’s Heilig for double choir, and works by modern American composers such as Della Joio, Lauridsen, and Stroope. Canadian works will include Ubi Caritas by Raminsh, and a setting of an E. Pauline Johnson poem by Waterloo composer Jeff Enns. Please join us for this inspirational celebration of hope, faith, life and love.
